I am an applied scientist at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Previously, I worked on natural language processing (NLP) problems relevant to conversational AI as a lead R&D engineer at Amelia/IPsoft. I completed my Ph.D. at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Colorado Boulder, advised by Martha Palmer. I am broadly interested in NLP and machine learning. My specific research interests are in the extraction of open-domain semantic representations of natural language.
